The time has come to reveal all of the contestants and to learn a little bit about them; isn’t it always the most fun part of the season to see all of the contestants’ bios and make hilariously wrong assumptions about them? Oof this has been overwhelming. So much information to process at once! But I like how detailed you made of everyone’s bio. I’ll go crazy making up so many different personalities at once. I think Gabriel and Jesse grabbed my interest the most. Gabriel because his head sounds like a mess so he’s internal drama waiting to happen and Jesse because I can relate to her.

Eeek, sorry! It is quite a lot, but I liked making the cards because I come back to them while writing and rereading. They were so fun to make!
Gabriel is also one of my faves, I wrote an entire detailed back story for him (I keep a wiki detailing backstories for my characters, blush) and his drama… it shall come 😉 And Jessie is such a sweetheart! She was in one of my previous (unpublished) stories and she was such a joy to create and flesh out. I love her!

Ah.. You shouldn’t apologise. Its smart thinking that you wrote this char introduction post because if Im going to be following your story and voting characters, I’ll definitely come back to this post before making my final decision. So it helps your readers too! Also don’t you think this is similar to a character sheet? My writing is very plot-driven so this post is super helpful 😄
Im sure in time as I get to know the chars it won’t be overwhelming anymore. This post is like first day of school/work. So many names and personalities to remember. 😉

You’re right! I hadn’t thought of it this way, but this is a character sheet of sorts, just more stylized to fit the ~aesthetic~ of the show, haha. Hopefully as you read along the characters will pop out more! It’s fun for me to look back at these cards because some of the characters really evolve 😛

Love this cast! Funny story. My husband is from Altoona, PA. 😀 But he’s nothing like Todd. Haha. Finally getting round to commenting here. Ouf! Not sure yet who to root for. I’m leaning toward Jessie, Mitchell, China, and Gabriel.

I drove through Altoona a couple years ago when we went back East for a college reunion. Haha. It was nice to see the mention. How did you select the hometowns?

I have a soft spot for Pennsylvania, my mom is from there and I spend some time there once in a while (up in Bradford County, so not quite Altoona, haha), so I wanted to have someone representing PA in my story! Usually I like having connections to the hometowns of my characters, although this doesn’t always end up happening. 😛
